Thanksgiving 2011

Pauline, éducatrice anglophone 3-6 et Responsable pédagogique de l´école, nous décrit  ici la journée de Thanksgiving en cette année 2011 au sein de la classe des petits, via un petit texte accompagné de photos.

 Petits et grands se sont réunis et ont déjeuné ensemble.

"In the 3 to 6 classroom the children had fun decorating their Indian headbands. On the day of the meal  we read a special book that told the story of the first Thanksgiving. The children were very interested in the pictures of the Indians and Pilgrims. Once the teachers had set up the long tables, the older pupils came downstairs and every one ate happily together .  Darcy (English teacher in 6-12) and several of the older children had wonderful Pilgrim hats and thanks to the mothers who made extra mashed potato and green beans."

 

Les grands ont eu leur propre activité. Un grand merci à Natasha, élève 6-12, qui nous a écrit un joli texte en anglais sur ce qu´est la tradition de Thanksgiving.
