Butterfly Farm 3-6

The children from the 3 to 6 class visited the Butterfly farm in the village of La Queue les Yvelines last Friday.    

 

This is an amazing place to see. It is very hot inside as all the plants are tropical. 

We saw many tropical flowers too and then we started noticing the butterflies. Many of them were huge!  And they too come from hot countries.

We saw them flying, drinking nectar and also resting. We also saw caterpillars and a house of chrysalides.

We were very careful not to touch any of them as we've been learning in school that they are fragile and important to protect.

After an enjoyable visit we again got on the bus and drove back to school. A special thank you to Sandra, Mina's mother who accompanied us on this field trip.
